Creating an effective ad to promote your product or service can be a challenge. Remember, the goal is to get targeted individuals, looking for your services, to click on your ad and see what you're offering to them. I have compiled a list of tips to use when creating your advertisement.
1. Place your main search keyword in your ad title.
2. Use "title case" in the ad title. Meaning the capitalization of only the first letter in each word. example: "Here's My Ad"
3. Use "sentence case" in your ad description. example: "Do you need shoes?"
4. Resist the temptation of capitalizing complete words in both your title and descpription. Example of this would be: "AMAZING DEALS"
5. Make sure your spelling, grammer, and punctuation are correct. You want your ad to look professional and reliable.
6. It is alright to use symbols in your ad such as "&", "?", "#", "%", but not excessively like"!!!!"
7. Have a strong call to action and value to get the user to click on your ad. Example: "Today only! Save 20%"
8. Try to avoid using terms that don't accurately describe the characteristics of your services such as "cheapest" or "best".
9. Don't create odd abbreviations like "GR8" or "biz". The more common ones that people will recognize are alright to use.
10. Last but not least, don't conclude your ad with "click here" or "learn more". It is just wasted space. If the individuals like your offer (ad) they'll click on it. Your website is already included as part of your ad, they don't need to be instructed to click on it.
This will get your ad campaign off on the right foot. Avoiding common mistakes will make your ad stand out as being professional and thus, enticing users to click through to your website.
