One of the hardest things to do when starting your own home business venture is trying to get noticed by the rest of the world.
You build your website, print business cards, etc., and your ready to do business. Except you have no customers.
O.K. You do what your told:
You get SEO (Search Engine Optimization)tools that are supposed to optimize your website.
You submit your site to the most revelant search engines, however it must be noted that your site probably will not be "crawled" immediately, but you did your part and wait to be indexed.
Although you submitted your site, your not going to get much exposure. You need to find a way to generate traffic to your site. It is time to avertise your goods and services to the public.
How does one go about that?
I think it is safe to say that anyone is allowed to advertise on any given search engine for a price. Google, Yahoo, MSN, the lists goes on keeping in mind that your ad will only be displayed on that particular search engines network.
My advice, start small, only submit 1 ad on 1 search engine at a time. Test it out and see how it does, then add another ad to another search engine.
Note: If your ad is not producing any traffic, change the wording of the current ad and retest it.
In the beginning, you do not want to be running a bunch of ads at the same time! This is a common mistake. Advertising costs MONEY! You'll go broke before you even get started!
Remember: 1 ad, change it 'til it works (producing traffic), then concider creating more ads to get more traffic. If you get your first ad to bring in customers and produce sales, hopefully you're creating an income that will allow you to expand your advertising to other search engines, therefore increasing your exposure more and then... one thing leads to another and you get to where you want to be.
Be patient! Advertising converting to customers takes time and effort.
Start small and work your way from there!
TO YOUR SUCCESS!
